Located in Ta Giang Phinh commune, Sapa district, Ngu Chi Son mountain range consists of five mountains like giant fingers reaching up to the blue sky
Not only attracting tourists by majestic beauty, this mountain is associated with the legend from the beginning of the people at Ta Giang Phinh. When the sky and earth were still dark, smelly and the ground was very flat.. suddenly a god with a muscular body, unusually large appeared.
He worked hard alone and eager to create rivers and mountains for the world. He dug soil to build hills and mountains. He used skillful hands to create a stream connect to the river, leading water into ponds and lakes, flowing into the sea
After completing the construction work, he used all his strength into building a very high mountains. He was engrossed in his work until the mountains broke through the clouds up to heaven. The God of heaven was very angry and send the Thunder God to fight for many days. Therefore, the mountains was chipped, leaving only five mountains as five fingers point straight up to heaven.
The mysterious ladder
Perhaps the most unforgettable impression in the conquer Ngu Chi Son is the mysterious ladders. It was built by the locals to make it easier to conquer. Without there ladders, Ngu Chi Son would be on a much higher difficulty than current ranking (11/15 highets mountains in VietNam)
The slope from the camp point to the top is vertical. it will not called harsh anymore. The feeling is very strong when climbing the slopes, with support rope, holding the ladder to get through the ravines, just fit only one person. Sometimes, one side is a cliff, while the other side is deep abyss. That your feeling will never forget.
You will feel how about the cloud in face. because there are often fly from Lai Chau over the top to Lao Cai. Clouds fly very quickly due to the open top and narrow ravine.
